Our team
Latoya “Abbee” Desue LMFT#126076
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, OCD symptoms, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, infidelity, life transitions, and stress related to feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
I believe that feeling safe, respected, and understood is an important part of therapy. Building trust allows clients to feel more open in the process and make meaningful progress over time. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, compassionate, and collaborative. I balance following the client’s pace with offering direction, tools, and support when more structure is needed.
I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness-based strategies, and EMDR. I understand that every client’s journey is different, so I tailor therapy to what each person needs in order to heal, grow, and move toward meaningful change.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Southern California, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, family communication challenges, school stress, and life transitions.
I have experience supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, including foster youth, LGBTQ+ youth, and neurodivergent individuals. My background includes work in community-based programs, schools, non-profit organizations, private practice, and telehealth. I also enjoy collaborating with families, teachers, and school counselors to support a child’s emotional and academic well-being.
My therapy style is collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based. I believe in understanding each client beyond their diagnosis or challenges and creating a supportive space where children, teens, young adults, and families can work toward meaningful goals.
Depending on each client’s needs, I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and developmentally appropriate play therapy. I look forward to working with you or your family and being part of your healing process.
