Frequently asked questions.

Q: Who do you work with?

A: Children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Many clients seek our help for anxiety, OCD (ERP), depression, trauma, life transitions, relationships, and cultural/first-gen stressors.

Q: What is EMDR and who is it for?

A: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic or disturbing experiences so they feel less intense and intrusive. We use EMDR with teens and adults for trauma, PTSD, single-incident events, and distressing memories.

Q: Do you treat OCD? What is ERP?

A: Yes. We specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard for OCD. ERP helps you face feared thoughts or situations without doing compulsions, which reduces anxiety and restores freedom in daily life.

Q: Can therapy help with panic attacks and anxiety?

A: Absolutely. We combine CBT, mindfulness, and skills training to calm the body, change unhelpful thinking patterns, and rebuild confidence. Many clients see meaningful relief with consistent practice!

Q: Do you offer family therapy?

A: Yes. We help partners and families communicate clearly, set boundaries, and repair patterns. Sessions can include joint and individual time to make progress between meetings.

Q: Do you provide culturally responsive and LGBTQ+-affirming care?

A: Yes. We understand first-generation and cross-cultural stressors—balancing identity, family expectations, and community pressures. Our practice is LGBTQ+-affirming and trauma-informed.

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: Many clinicians on our team accept Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare plans. Coverage varies by policy; we’ll verify your benefits before the first session and review costs upfront. We also offer private-pay.

Q: What if my plan is out of network?

A: We can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement. Call your plan to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits, deductibles, and the reimbursement rate.
